Dawnstar
In Dawnstar you take on the role of a brash, hot-shot ace pilot and partner with a gruff old timer to take on the space mafia. It’s all set to detective story blues and set against the backdrop of sprawling space colonies. Wait. I’ve seen this somewhere. Ah, of course. Cowboy Bebop. While the game’s styling is without question a direct homage to the pinnacle of anime storytelling, the comparisons end at a superficial level. From there you are looking at a space combat game, created by indie developer Wraith Entertainment and based around upgrades and milkrun missions.
